Review
Julie Anne Peters has created a masterpiece of a book with all the necessary elements to make it suspenseful, realistic and heartwarming.
Holland, the main character, is a 17 year-old-girl who is presumably straight- she has a boyfriend and has never crushed on a girl.
That is, before CeCe.
CeCe is a transfer student, for reasons we learn about later in the story. She is an out-and-proud lesbian who frequently wears shirts proclaiming her pride in her sexuality.
When Holland finds herself falling hard for CeCe, she naturally is confused. When she finally confronts her fear of being queer and begins to admit that she loves CeCe, she finds that nothing else has ever felt so right.
However, though her parents appear to be tolerant, when Holland's mother finds out about her daughter's sexual orientation, she is not pleased, to say the least. What does she do? To find out, you'll just have to read the book;)
I would recommend this book to LGBT youth, those who are questioning, and basically everyone else. READ IT!
