Review: The Boy by Roald Dahl is based on Roald Dahl life. Roald Dahl the author tells the reader many different encounters of his life. One encounter of his life is when he was age 7-9 and he put a dead mouse in there candy store clerk Mrs. Pratchett’s gobstopper jar. The reason he did this is the clerk is cruel mean dirty woman. One day at school he saw Mrs. Pratchett there she told the Mr. Coombes that they were the ones who did it. So Mr. Coombes whacked them on there butts with a cane. The mother couldn’t tolerate this so she transferred him to boarding school in Norway. Were he encounters a mean matron and a horrible fake stomach ache. Then he goes to another different school called Repton. Were he encounters being accused of cheating and a decision to beat up the Carltons because of peer pressure. After Boy left school he went to work for a company that he always wanted to work for the Shell Company and he was sent to were he wanted to go for a business trip. He went to east Africa. This is what The Boy by Roald Dahl is about.

Review: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle By Avi is about a 13 year old girl accused of murder. In the story Charlotte Doyle gets on a boat to go home to America from her school. On the boat she meets the captain, captain Jaggery and home she joins the crew to help. During a hurricane Mr. Hollybrass was murdered and in his hand was Charlotte’s handkerchief. The next day she was accused of murder and sent in the brig. Soon they found out that captain Jaggery stole her knife and murdered Mr. Hollybrass. After she reached America and met up with her parents she decided it would be best to stay on the boat with her crew members.

Review: a boy lives in a train station with his father until the museum hugo's dad worked in burns down and hugo's uncle takes him to live with him. hugos uncle is the timekeeper in the station. hugo's uncle was missing for months so hugo had to take care of the clocks and steal his food. huge went to look at the museuem where it burned and he found a automation in the ashes. huge spents months working on the machine so he steals parts of toys from the owner of the toy booth. he becomes a magician and his friends godfather takes him in to their house and he lives a great life.
