Review: This book I would rate five stars for its excellent usage of imagination displayed in the characters, setting, and plot line of this book. It is about a child, Charlie Bone. Charlie lives with his mother, Grandma Bone, and Maisie(Charlie's other grandma). When Charlie discovers he can listen to voices in photographs, his Grandma Bone proclaims him gifted and sends him off to Bloor's Academy. When he meets other gifted children he has to find out the distant past of one of the more strange ones to help a new-found friend, Miss Ingledew of Ingledew's Books, learn the past of her neice, lost at age two. The neice, Emma, was supposedly hypnotized by one of the gifted teachers. Can she be saved? Or is it too late? Find out and read 'Midnight for Charlie Bone'
Review: The Boggart by Susan Cooper is a "wild read". It is the story of a family from Canada who inherit a dilapidated castle in Scotland. Emily, her brother, the computer whiz, Jessup and their parents travel to Scotland to bring back antiques from the castle. Little do they know they have brought back with them an ancient, invisible, highly mischevous creature, called a boggart.
When the boggart wakes up an ocean away from his castle home he sets out to make life very unsettling for the family.
