Alice I Have Been
Author
Melanie Benjamin
Review
It has been decades since I read Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. All you really need to know about that book in order to read this one is that there was, indeed, a girl named Alice who inspired the story. Melanie Benjamin explains at the end that she has included as many known facts as possible in writing this, and she “filled in” where necessary. The result is an imagining of Alice’s life that feels very real and is full of emotion. Read it right to the very end, because that’s where the “truth” is revealed.

Let's jsut say it wasn'tpretty
Author
Diane Keaton
Review
uninspiring tale of her early career, oriental eyes and other flaws esply aging . Quite depressing til she tries to say beauty is skin deep, and in the eyes of the beholder and lists other famous people her age.No one is perfect and she likes to stand oout as being different and independant. She relays her love interest in AL Pacino , her first encounter with a male phalllus , her shopping with her daughter , her refusal so far to have cosmetic surgery and her thinning hair.
Not recommended at all.

Fun read. What a life! She is so much more than "milk and Pepsi," yet the book chronicles how her childhood and upbringing and all those little details made her into the woman she became, and grounded her along the way.

Outlander
Author
Diana Gabaldon
Review
This was a re-read for me, and I am more in awe than ever. It is not highbrow literature, and it is not harlequin romance. It is an amazingly rich story, wrought with emotion and packed full of historical details. I hated for it to end, even though I’ve read the rest of the series already and know what will happen next. If you are looking for a cast of characters that you can latch onto, read this! The going advice is, “give it 100 pages, and you’ll be hooked!”
