Greenfield Public Library presents the 2012 Summer Reading Program "Dream Big -- READ!" for kids from preschool through young adult. Read or listen to 10 books (or for 10 hours) throughout the summer to fulfill your goal. Put your star in the sky on the library bulletin board to start dreaming big, and make a mobile with a star for each ten books finished. Registration for "Dream Big -- READ!" begins on June 12, 2012.

Free weekly activities and incentive prizes will be given starting June 25 and going through August 10. Activities in the "Dream Big" theme will include dreams and wishes, nighttime creatures, space exploration, and more.

There will be three weekly story times with Kay Lyons, crafts with Lori Gordon, and a teen writers' group with Amy LaPrade. Young readers will have a party on Saturday, August 4, and teens who participate in the writers' group will be invited to participate in an open mic night on Tuesday, August 7.

Come to the library Thursday, June 21, through Saturday, June 23, for an acting class series with the Piti Theatre Company, and take part in the play "To Bee or Not to Bee" at the Energy Park on Sunday, June 24 to kick off your summer!
