This is my favorite book! I love the character Jonas because he is very unique. I like the character The Giver because he is very set apart from the rest of The Community and you always want to learn more about him. I think it is sad that there are no emotions or colors in the community and that everyone is exactly the same. Finally, I love the bond between Jonas and Gabriel.

This book is definately a page turner. It is a murder mystery that ties all of the murders together. There is a lot of foreshadowing that helps you follow along with what is happening in the book.

Day and June are from two different life styles in the futuristic Republic of America. They have no reason to meet until June's brother is killed and Day becomes the prime suspect. I loved this book! It's funny, romantic, adventurous, and amazing. I can't wait to read the next two books.
