Laura hillenbrand takes you through the life of a soldier during world war 2. She is very detailed and describes scenes in a way you can picture it mentally. It is the best historical fiction book I have read so far.

I think a lot of the kids reading this will enjoy this book. In the first few chapters, the book is all about track, so the track kids are guaranteed to like it. It starts off talking about things a lot of kids can relate too, unlike the summer reading book last year.
